I’m excited to lend my expertise and contribute to ARRT’s advocacy efforts.

About Fandel

As the first public member of ARRT’s Board, Fandel brings over 35 years of experience working with and advising boards of directors and educators in the certification and accreditation industry. Her expertise includes helping boards recruit public members and ensure they make effective contributions. She is a recognized leader in the certification industry, having served as Chair of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) Board of Directors and the National Commission for Certifying agencies, the accreditation arm of I.C.E. Fandel was the first full-time employee of the Board of Certification (BOC), a national organization with the only accredited certification program for athletic trainers in the U.S. Under her 22 years of leadership, the BOC staff grew to 20 and the number of certificants grew to over 55,000 and gained the respect of the entire athletic training industry.

Fandel is honored to be the first public member of the ARRT Board. “Throughout my career, I have witnessed time and time again how the rich experiences and passions of board members can influence the work of their organizations to change people’s lives for the better,” she says. “I’m excited to be part of ASRT as it grows and evolves to meet the changing needs of the radiologic technology profession.”
