YOUR CQR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

The first phase of your CQR process is the professional profile. It lets you see how your practice experience compares to that of others in your discipline, and it lets you refresh your knowledge of the clinical procedures you might not perform often. This self-evaluation is entirely for your benefit. ARRT doesn’t review your profile, and there’s no right or wrong outcome.

The professional profile is broken into three sections: the reflective exercise, the profile summary, and the clinical refreshers. In total, you can expect to spend about 20 minutes on this portion of the CQR process.

REFLECTIVE EXERCISE

The reflective exercise is set up like an online survey. A series of screens lists clinical activities from ARRT’s most recent practice analysis in your discipline. You’ll indicate approximately how often you’ve performed each of the clinical procedures over the past two years. Think of it as a self-evaluation to reveal any areas in which you might want to round out your experience.

PROFILE SUMMARY

Immediately after you complete the reflective exercise, you’ll receive a profile summary. It compares the depth and breadth of your current clinical experiences to that of other R.T.s in your discipline.

CLINICAL REFRESHERS

Finally, you’ll see a list of optional clinical refreshers that you can use to renew your knowledge. The list provides links to websites where you can read material or watch videos outlining the procedures about which you might want more information. These review materials are free of charge.

That’s it! After completing the professional profile, we’ll guide you to step two in the CQR process—the Structured Self-Assessment.
