Our Top 5 Tips for Program Directors to Help Students
We’re always striving to make your experience smoother and to help you support your students throughout the school year.
Here are our top 5 tips to help you and your students succeed:
- Set Up Online Student Accounts Early: There are many benefits to students having access to Message Center as well as the restricted part of ARRT’s website early in the program.
- Encourage Early Exam Applications: Advise your students to submit their exam applications up to 90 days before they complete their program or have their degree conferred, whichever comes later. This early start can help them stay ahead of the game.
- Request Testing Accommodations: If any of your students need Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, remind them to request these on their application. We recently developed a new resource to help students understand the types of documentation accepted for exam accommodation requests. More information about accommodations can be found in our Handbooks.
- Pursue Additional Credentials: Students may begin pursuing an additional credential following the postprimary pathway while enrolled in your program. They can log their clinical experience requirements in their student online account.
- Use the Online Payment Program: If your institution would like to pay the application fee, you can email us the payment contact information (including email address) at programdirectors@arrt.org.
