REMEMBER TO UPDATE COURSE INFORMATION FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR
Published May 2020
Beginning May 1, you can update your course information for R.T.s who might need specific types of continuing education (CE) credits.
Specifically, our registrants must complete:
- 24 CE credits every two years (50 credits if they’re Registered Radiologist Assistants)
- Structured education if they pursue additional credentials using our postprimary eligibility pathway
- CE credits if they receive a CE prescription as part of their Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR) every 10 years
Although the three bullet points reference different types of CE, R.T.s may be able to use the same CE credits to fulfill one, two, or all three requirements.
To help R.T.s find the right CE for their needs, we maintain a list of acceptable activities. That’s where you come in.
Please log in to your Program Director website account, click on View/Update Courses, then click on Provide Requested Information to review the course information you submitted for 2019-20.
- If a course hasn’t changed substantially, just update your enrollment deadlines for next year’s terms (generally fall, spring, and summer)
- If a course has significant changes, you’ll need to request a revised credit distribution. Complete the credit distribution worksheet, scan it, and upload it along with your syllabus and weekly course outline.
If you don’t update a course by Aug. 31, it won’t be visible beginning Sept. 1. Reactivate it anytime by logging in, clicking Restore Search Visibility, and reviewing the listed information. If you need help submitting an academic course for review and inclusion in our CE database, email Gail Cohen. Or call 651.687.0048, then choose the option for program directors.
