Tell Your Students About Our Sponsored Grants and Scholarships
Have you told your students about the scholarships that ARRT sponsors?
“ARRT's articles of incorporation state that one of the purposes for which ARRT is organized is to encourage education in the profession,” Jerry Reid, Ph.D. and CEO of ARRT, says. “We do that in several ways, including providing financial support for learners at various stages of their careers. We are proud of our collaborative arrangements with professional societies to fulfill this important role.”
For Students
We’ve partnered with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) to offer the Royce Osborn Minority Student Scholarship. It awards five $4,000 scholarships per year to minority students in entry-level educational programs (for Radiography, Sonography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine Technology). The scholarship is funded through an endowment that ARRT established; it also receives contributions from individual donors. Students can contact ASRT to learn more about applying.
We also partner with the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine on the Professional Education and Growth Scholarships, which award up to $500 each for one certified sonographer and one student enrolled in a sonography/ultrasound educational program.
For R.T.s
We’ve partnered with three professional societies to provide as many as 65 technologists each year with up to $500 each in grants. These grants help recipients defray the cost of continuing education activities, application fees for subsequent credentials, professional courses, and educational products.
