What You Need to Know About Postprimary Deadlines
Some program directors have asked about our deadlines for R.T.s using the postprimary eligibility pathway to earn additional ARRT credentials.
Here’s a clarification.
Candidates must complete and log all required activities within the 24 months immediately before they apply to take an ARRT exam. That requirement ensures candidates have recent experience in current practices.
- Until you apply for an exam, logged procedures and structured education credits expire after 24 months.
- After you apply for an exam and receive an exam window, clinical procedures and structured education credits won’t expire. (An exam window is the time during which you can take your exam after we process your application.)
In other words, once you complete your requirements and apply for an ARRT exam, your structured education credits and logged procedures stay valid until your eligibility expires. That happens if you don’t pass the exam within three attempts and three years.
