ARRT Launches Advocacy Training for R.T.s
Eric Myers, Director of Government Affairs at ARRT, recently presented Advocacy 101 at the North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. Annual Conference. Participants were trained in the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively advocate for the profession and learned how to build and maintain influential relationships with elected officials.
At the same time across the country in Idaho, Heather Schepman, Government Affairs Research Manager, virtually presented Advocacy 101 at the Idaho Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference.
“This is just the start of our advocacy training roadshow,” explains Myers. “Our goal is to deliver advocacy training strategically and help build comfort with these skills.”
ARRT advocates on behalf of registered technologists in all disciplines to promote the best patient outcomes and improve quality and safety standards. We support state and federal efforts that require professionals to have consistent qualifications in medical imaging and radiation therapy.
