ARRT Updates Discipline Documents 

New Mammography content specifications, based on recent practice analysis surveys, will go into effect Sept. 1, 2025. If you’re working on your Mammography (M) credentials, please read this article to learn more. 

Coming in the Fall of 2026:  

• Updated documents for Breast Sonography (SON)  
• Updated documents for Computed Tomography (CT)  
• Drafts for Radiography (RAD), Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT), and Radiation Therapy (THR) documents will be available for public comment. 

Every five years, our volunteer committees conduct a practice analysis survey for each of our certification programs. The purpose is to ensure that our exam content specifications and clinical requirements are comprehensive, accurate, and fair. Our committees then use these findings to recommend updates. By completing practice analysis surveys, you help us better understand the job responsibilities of people employed in those disciplines.
