ARRT TO DISCONTINUE P CREDITS FOR R.R.A.S

ARRT will stop accepting P credits from Registered Radiologist Assistants (R.R.A.s) for activities completed on or after Jan. 1, 2023.

We use the term P credits for activities awarded Category 1 credit by the American Medical Association, Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, American Academy of Physician Assistants, or American Academy of Family Physicians.

We created the P credit category when the R.R.A. credential was new because there weren’t enough A+ credits approved by CE approvers or state entities at the time. Now there are many alternatives. In addition, the number of R.R.A.s submitting P credits is declining.
