What You Need to Know About Postprimary Deadlines
We’ve received questions about our deadlines for R.T.s who use the postprimary eligibility pathway to earn additional ARRT credentials.
Here’s a clarification.
You must complete and log all required activities within the 24 months immediately before you apply to take an ARRT exam. That requirement ensures you have recent experience in current practices.
- Until you apply for an exam, logged procedures and structured education credits expire after 24 months.
- After you apply for an exam and submit the application fee, clinical procedures and structured education credits won’t expire.
In other words, once you complete your requirements and apply for an ARRT exam, your structured education credits and logged procedures stay valid until your eligibility expires. That happens if you don’t pass the exam within three attempts or three years, whichever comes first.
