September 2016
In the past, you earned your certification once, and you updated your registration each year. You probably considered those events two separate things.
Today, though, you can’t have one without the other.
ARRT credentials aren’t like academic degrees, which are valid throughout your life. If you don’t maintain your annual certification and registration, you aren’t qualified to claim ARRT affiliation. Renewing your certification and registration includes agreeing to comply with our Standards of Ethics, reporting continuing education activities every other year, and demonstrating continuing qualifications if you earned your credential since 2011.
To reinforce the relationship between the terms, we’ve clarified our wording. Now you’ll always see the terms “certified and registered” together.
