At the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, we’re pleased to support the technologists who are certified and registered with us. Most recently, we participated in the annual conference of the Society for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, an event for sonographers, students, and other health-care providers who use sonography.

Deborah Rubens, M.D., Professor of Imaging Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center—and an ARRT Trustee—spoke on contrast-enhanced ultrasound. She discussed the physical properties of ultrasound contrast agents and their clinical use with ultrasound.

The SDMS conference provides attendees with knowledge and skills in new sonographic techniques, diagnostic accuracy, enhancements of sonographic instrumentation, and practice management strategies.
