Effective Jan. 1, 2022, ARRT will increase fees for:
- Applying for certification and registration by $25 (from $200 to $225)
- Applying to reinstate certification and registration by taking an examination by $25 (from $200 to $225)
- Reapplying for certification and registration by $25 (from $175 to $200)
- Applying for certification and registration using the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a supporting category by $50 (from $400 to $450)
To avoid the fee increase, be sure you submit your 2021 application for certification and registration no later than 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2021. If you're submitting a paper application, the postmark date must be no later than Dec. 31, 2021.
Why the Increase?
Although ARRT hasn’t increased our fees to apply for certification and registration since 2010, our costs have continued to rise. In particular, test site administration fees have gone up twice in that time.
This modest fee increase will help offset some of those increasing costs.
