ARRT to Change Content Specifications for Sonography Exam on Jan. 1, 2024

ARRT’s Board of Trustees recently approved changes to the content specifications for ARRT’s Sonography exam. The changes will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2024.

Because our exams must be practice-related, we periodically conduct job analyses to ensure that our content specifications remain comprehensive, accurate, and fair. With the help of the professional community, we review the documents every five years.

OVERVIEW OF MAJOR CHANGES TO THE CONTENT SPECIFICATIONS

  • We added content to the Patient Care section.
  • We added topics concerning imaging informatics to the Image Production section.
  • In the Procedures section, we added incidental abnormal findings under the Focus of Questions.

The number of exam questions remains the same.
