About Galandak
Galandak is a staff radiologist with Ochsner Health in New Orleans. She received her medical degree and a public health degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, and she has more than 16 years of experience in the medical field. Galandak’s clinical subspecialty is breast imaging, which includes digital mammography, breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI interpretation, and breast interventional procedures in addition to resident education. She has volunteered with ARRT as an exam committee subject matter expert since 2019. In addition, Galandak is involved in the American College of Radiology, and she serves as an officer of the Radiological Society of Louisiana.
“Volunteering with ARRT has given me an understanding of the process involved in developing and maintaining critical skills of our Registered Technologists,” she says. “As a breast imaging radiologist, I see firsthand how these skills translate to lifesaving breast cancer diagnoses and treatments. I am very happy to be joining the ARRT Board of Trustees to continue making sure that the credentials obtained by Registered Technologists are meaningful and valued.”
About Weber
Weber joined the Board in 2019. She is Director of Imaging Service and Privacy Officer at Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She says she looks forward to collaborating with other professionals to raise awareness of the radiologic sciences and consider solutions for workforce concerns.
She particularly supports continuing education. “Patients trust Registered Technologists to perform high-quality imaging, interventional, and therapy procedures using the safest measures,” Weber says. “In our ever-changing world of technology, lifelong learning is crucial to acquiring knowledge and maintaining expertise in our profession.”
