Join ARRT in urging the federal government’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to recognize the important role radiologic technologists play in health care.
Every 10 years, the OMB, reclassifies jobs as technical or professional. Currently, ARRT certified technologists – with the exception of radiation therapists -- are classified as technical personnel.
However, we believe all R.T.s should be classified as professional health care personnel.
The role of radiologic technologists in modern health care continues to evolve as the demand for improved imaging technology accelerates. For this reason, ARRT strongly supports updating OMB’s designation to more accurately reflect the professional responsibilities of the occupation.
Please join ARRT in urging the OMB to make this change.
And, we need to act fast!
Every voice matters, and you don’t have to be an R.T. to participate.
Go to ASRT’s Advocacy Action Center by Monday, Aug. 12 and add your support.
