REGISTERED RADIOLOGIST ASSISTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
As part of earning an R.R.A. credential, you must meet the following educational requirements:
- Earn a master's or doctoral degree (a bachelor's degree meets the education requirement for individuals who started earning their R.R.A. certification before Jan. 1, 2023)
- Be certified and registered with ARRT in Radiography
- Have at least two years of acceptable clinical experience in radiography (one year of experience meets the requirement for individuals who completed their RA educational program before Jan. 1, 2025)
- Complete an ARRT-approved radiologist assistant educational program
